Silver Alert issued for Oxon Hill man

Prince George’s County police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Oxon Hill man and are seeking the public’s help in locating him.

The man, 73-year-old Leander Cooper was last seen Sunday, July 22 at 8:00 a.m. after dropping his wife off at a hospital on the 100 block of Irving Street NE in D.C.

After dropping his wife off, Cooper didn’t return.

Cooper is described as a black male with a dark complexion. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and 220 pounds with black and gray hair. He may be wearing glasses. Cooper suffered from dementia and has high blood pressure. He was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, silver with Maryland tags 725M494.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Leander Cooper is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s District IV Investigative Section at (301) 749-5064.
