Einstein statue ‘yarn-bombed’ Thursday morning

The bronze statue at the National Academy of Sciences was bursting with color – pink, purple and blue – after being “yarn-bombed” overnight.

While the culprit has not been officially recognized, polish-born artist Olek tweeted a photo early Thursday morning of the statue. The artist, who lives in Brooklyn, is known for draping public statues in colorful yarn, says the DCist.
