Dulles Access Road reopens after shuttle bus accident

WASHINGTON – The Dulles Access Road reopened after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday after an accident blocked the westbound lanes for over an hour.

The accident, involving a shuttle bus, occurred near the Reston Parkway after 3:30p .m.

One person was flown to a hospital and four others suffered minor injuries, according to Dan Schmidt with Fairfax County Fire.

Shortly after the accident, all westbound toll lanes opened. The accident never affected the eastbound toll or access lanes.
