Car acrobatics demonstrate red-light hazards (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – If anything could convince drivers of the dangers of running a red light, this vehicle’s disastrous acrobatics would be it.

Red-light camera footage of a tremendous crash in Roselle Park, N.J., has been making its rounds on the Internet recently. A 29-year-old sustained – amazingly – only minor injuries after the car he was driving careened through an intersection, ran into the dividing wall and flipped up in the air.

“I want people to realize what can happen when someone runs a red light,” Roselle Park Police Chief Paul Morrison told NBC New York. “By showing this video, we hope people will realize running red lights can have tragic consequences.”

Nobody else was hurt in the incident.
