WASHINGTON – In a long line of parodies of this summer’s hottest single, Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster gives his own spin to Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.”

Changing the words to highlight his love of all things cookie, the shaggy blue monster sings longingly about cookies in the video.

His lyrics include: “Me just met you. Dis is crazy. But me love cookies! Gimme, maybe?” and “You, cookie showing and me hunger growing. Let’s get skim milk flowing.”

The video is set in the offices of the Children’s Television Workshop with employees dancing around with buckets of cookies everywhere.

One scene includes a particularly unamused individual playing a toy xylophone.
