Dogs to wed in $250,000 ceremony

WASHINGTON – Think you’ve been to some lavish weddings? This one could put those to the dogs.

Pet lifestyle expert Wendy Diamond is giving her dog, Baby Hope, away in marriage to a dog named Chilly, whose owners run an advanced animal hospital in Richmond.

Chilly, the tie-dyed poodle, was chosen from a long list of potential grooms for Baby Hope.

The price tag for the puppy nuptials will be $250,000 — making it the most expensive pet wedding ever. Some tables for the dinner are going for as much as $10,000.

Besides being quite lavish, Diamond hopes the event will raise money and awareness for the Humane Society of New York.

The wedding will take place Thursday, July 12 at the famed Jumeriah Essex House in Manhattan. You can buy a spot at the wedding here.
