National League All-Star team roster

WASHINGTON – Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper has been named to the 2012 National League All-Star team. He replaces Giancarlo Stanton, who plays for the Miami Marlins.

Harper will become the third youngest All-Star ever and the youngest All-Star position player in history.

The updated roster of American League pitchers lists Harper’s name toward the bottom. Ian Desmond, shortstop for the Washington Nationals, is now listed as “injured, will not play.”
