Stabbing on Metro bus near GW University

WASHINGTON – A male passenger was stabbed on a Metro bus on the campus of George Washington University Wednesday afternoon.

Metro says two people were fighting on a Route 80 bus near the intersection of 21st and F streets NW around 12:20 p.m.

One of the passengers was stabbed in the upper torso. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Metro spokesman says they believe the victim is around 18-years-old. He has not been cooperative with police.

The suspect fled the scene after the stabbing.

Metro police describes the suspect as a black male with a dark complexion, in his early 40s. He is about 5-foot-3-inches, with a bald head. He was last seen wearing a purple shirt with white horizontal stripes.
