LIVE TWEETS: 6-year-old talks about spelling bee

OXON HILL, Md. – She spells well, but 6-year-old Lori Anne Madison, the youngest speller in the history of the National Spelling Bee, did not make the semifinals.

The Woodbridge, Va. girl is talking with reporters Thursday morning.

Not surprisingly, Madison loves to spell.

She says she has signed lots of autographs and the other children treated her nicely during the bee.

“I appreciated that,” Madison told reporters.

Will she be back next year? She sure hopes so.

Find out what else she’s saying.
