Scientist survives alligator attack in North Carolina

WASHINGTON – A scientist had a very close call with an alligator along a North Carolina highway this week.

The scientist had placed a towel on the alligator’s head and, as he tried to move the big beast, it quickly turned and bit his arm.

The man managed to pull his arm away and kicked the 250-pound gator with his foot.

A team from the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission later captured the alligator so it could be relocated, according to ABC News affiliate WCTI.
