In accordance with President Barack Obama’s presidential proclamation, the United States and Maryland State flags are to be flown at half staff from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday.

Gov. Martin O’Malley ordered the flags to be lowered in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
