Metro bus wreck closes Georgia Avenue, 11 injured

WASHINGTON – Eleven people were treated for minor injuries after a Metro bus accident at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Kennedy Street in Northwest on Thursday.

Georgia Avenue was closed in both directions south of Missouri around 4 p.m. while authorities work the scene.

All lanes of Georgia Avenue reopened around 5:30 p.m.
