Car accident in Woodbridge leaves one dead

WASHINGTON – Police are investigating a fatal crash in Woodbridge, Va. in the area of Dale Blvd. and Forestdale Ave. Thursday night.

The crash occurred around 8:40 p.m. and involved a pedestrian and a vehicle. The accident is still under investigation but the pedestrian, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and Dale Blvd. eastbound will be closed as the investigation continues.

The identity of the victim will be released upon notification of the next of kin.
