NFL legend Junior Seau found fatally shot in Calif. home

WASHINGTON – NFL legend Junior Seau was found fatally shot in his Oceanside, Calif. home, TMZ reports.

A police source tells TMZ that officers believe Seau shot himself.

Seau, a former San Diego Chargers star, was 43 years old and leaves behind three kids and an ex-wife.

Oceanside police are at Seau’s home and were seen talking with a man who was inside the house and appeared distraught.

TMZ reports Seau sent text messages to his ex-wife and three kids Tuesday saying “Love you.”

Seau founded the Junior Seau Foundation in 1992 to raise money and resources for programs meant to inspire young people to face life’s challenges with enthusiasm, hope and dignity.
