Bomb threat forces evacuation at Va. middle school

WASHINGTON – A bomb threat forced an evacuation at a middle school in Stafford County Tuesday.

Fire officials say they got the call around 11 a.m. about a bomb threat at Rodney Thompson Middle School in Stafford.

Stafford County Fire and Rescue, the sheriff’s department, Virginia State Police and a bomb disposal team from Quantico Marine Base are investigating.

No one is hurt, officials say.

Students have been taken to North Stafford High School, where their parents can either pick them up or have them bused home at the end of the school day.
