Man hit by Amtrak train in Woodbridge, Va.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – A man was struck by a Richmond bound Amtrak train near Woobridge Sunday afternoon.

Prince William County police say the man was flown to a hospital, but the extent of his injuries are not known.

The man was hit near Featherstone Road, a few miles south of Woodbridge Amtrak station, around 4:45 p.m.

Police are still investigating what happened, and held the train in place for the investigation.

Amtrak says train 157, from New York headed to the Staples Mill Road station in Richmond.

The train was held for around 90 minutes. A passenger on the train says it began to move around 7p.m.
