Additional victim struck in the head in NW Washington

WASHINGTON – An additional victim reported Friday that he was struck with an object in Northwest D.C.

The victim was struck in the head Thursday afternoon near the intersection of 2nd and Ingraham Streets NW, police said.

Police are currently investigating the assault. They believe it may be related to a string of recent incidents in the area.

Michael Davis, the younger brother of NFL players Vernon and Vontae Davis, was taken into custody Thursday evening.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about this or similar crimes to call 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s text tip line by texting a message to 50411.
