Who needs money when attractive people fly free?

WASHINGTON – One of the newest online dating sites may redefine the idea of the mile high club.

MissTravel.com bills itself as the only online dating site for travelers, and it makes no bones about its goal: To pair rich frequent fliers who hate to travel alone with attractive people who’d like to jet set around the world for free.

The site’s online promotional video has a bit of a retro vibe:

But is the concept itself a little too retro, a throwback to a time when damsels in distress depended on wealthy princes to sweep them off their feet?

In an age when professional singles of both genders can make a good living, is the idea of pairing rich men with attractive not-so-rich women even necessary?

And how do they decide whether a travel lover is “attractive” anyway?
