Utah man killed in Friday’s Dulles Access Road crash

WASHINGTON – A taxi cab passenger died Friday morning after a crash that closed the Dulles Access Road for most of the early morning commute.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes, near the Beltway.

Officials identified the passenger as Daniel Hartung, 36, from South Jordan, Utah.

Two other people were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

The Access Road reopened around noon.

Drivers headed to Dulles Airport used the toll road, until the access road’s lanes were cleared.

No charges have been filed at this time. Police continue to investigate.
