Look for I-95/395 HOV overnight closures this week

WASHINGTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will close a portion of the Interstate 95/395 High Occupancy Vehicle lanes Monday night through Saturday. Crews will be doing survey work and utility marking for the I-95 Express Lanes Project. HOV closures will continue over the next four to six weeks.

Monday through Thursday, April 19:

  • I-95/I-395 HOV lanes will be closed between Franconia Road/Exit 169 and the 14th Street Bridge.
  • Lanes will be closed between the hours of 11 p.m. and 10 a.m.

Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21:

  • I-95 HOV lanes will be closed between Dumfries Road/Exit 152 and Franconia Road/Exit 169.
  • Lanes will be closed between the hours of 11 p.m. and 10 a.m.
  • When lanes reopen, HOV lanes will be running northbound toward the D.C. line.
