2nd fatal motorcycle accident on Joplin Rd. in two days

WASHINGTON – Police responded to a fatal motorcycle accident near Joplin and Aden roads in Manassas on Sunday. It is the second fatal motorcycle accident on Joplin road in two days.

Police say the April 15 accident involved a motorcycle and a vehicle just before 7 p.m. The motorcycle’s driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported and Joplin Road remains closed as the investigation continues. The identity of the victim will be released after next of kin is notified and more information will be released as available.

On Saturday, April 14 at 9:45 a.m. police responded to an accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle in Triangle near Joplin Road and Park Headquarters Road. The man driving the motorcycle was also was also pronounced dead at the scene.
