NerdWallet makes flight fee comparison a cinch

WASHINGTON – Airfares may seem like they’re roughly the same — but hidden fees lurk everywhere and for everything, from baggage check to seat selection and even for booking over the phone versus online.

Booking the flight that’s truly cheaper can involve multiple browsers, plenty of patience and even more time. That’s where NerdWallet comes in.

NerdWallet’s website has a new feature that allows users to compare airlines and around 300 fees.

For example, while Southwest Airlines offers free checked baggage and online ticket changes, Delta Air Lines charges $250 for these services.

NerdWallet also offers a credit card comparison service.
