‘Draw Something’ soars to smartphone record

WASHINGTON – Take “Words with Friends,” add a dose of “Pictionary,” and you get a smash smartphone hit.

VentureBeat reports the new game “Draw Something” has been downloaded more than 50 million times in just 50 days, making it the fastest-growing mobile phone game in history.

The game allows users to sketch a drawing over their cellphone networks, then have their friends try to guess what it is.

The game is available for both the iPhone and Android phones. Users can download it for free, or pay 99 cents to get the ad-free version.
