A little robot named ‘Sand Flea’ flies high (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army’s Rapid Equipping Force is currently funding development of a tiny robot that can do big things.

At only 11 pounds, the four-wheeled machine dubbed “Sand Flea” has an on-board stabilization system that allows it to leap up to 30 feet in the air.

Boston Dynamics, an engineering company that specializes in building dynamic robots, is the organization charged with developing the little guy. Check out the video below to see Sand Flea in action.
