Ex-Manassas school employee indicted on sex abuse charges

WASHINGTON – A former employee at a Manassas, Va. elementary school is facing dozens of sex abuse charges.

The Washington Post reports a Prince William County grand jury Tuesday indicted Steffon Christian on more than 60 counts of sexual abuse involving 10 victims.

Christian, 48, worked at Baldwin Elementary School in Manassas from 1981 to 1999 as a kindergarten aide, coach and library secretary, the Post reports.

Authorities say the first victim came forward after media coverage of the Penn State abuse scandal.
