WASHINGTON – The Germans may love their beer – but probably not enough to want to shower in it.

That’s essentially what happened last week when German Chancellor Angela Merkel was attending an Ash Wednesday event when a waiter carrying a tray of five beers lost his balance nearby dropped the tray — pouring the sticky liquid down her back, according to the Huffington Post.

The waiter says he was shoved from behind.

Apparently, Merkel wasn’t to upset. Press reports say she turned to the waiter and grinned after the incident.
