Man dies after being crushed by own truck

WASHINGTON – A contractor was killed by his own truck Wednesday afternoon after the vehicle rolled down the street and pinned him against a retaining wall.

Neighbors say the man appeared to be running alongside the truck as it took off down the steep hill. He had been working on a house nearby.

When police arrived to the 5300 block of Albemerle Street near Westmorland Circle in Bethesda, they found the contractor crushed between his car and a stone wall.

Capt. David Falcinelli with Montgomery County police says the incident is still under investigation.
