WASHINGTON – Equipment for a power substation which is part of the Metro Silver Line project, will be trucked from Winchester to Beulah Road just east of Tysons Corner Tuesday, Feb. 7 and Wednesday, Feb. 8. Traffic slow-downs in the eastbound lanes of Route 7 are expected.
On both days, three trucks, each accompanied by three pilot cars, will create a rolling blockade when delivering the components and again when leaving the site. Traffic disruptions will take place as the trucks and escort vehicles move along the roads.
The first oversized load will leave Winchester at 9 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, not 7 a.m. as previously announced. The first loads are expected to reach the construction site by 11 a.m. and two additional loads will follow at 90-minute intervals.
