Support for slots grows in Prince George’s Co.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – Prince George’s County is warming up to the idea of slots.

A new Washington Post poll finds 57 percent of county residents would support a slots casino at a location like Rosecroft Raceway or National Harbor.

Forty one percent are opposed.

By 2 to 1, Marylanders say slots have been good for the state, but only 51 percent would support additional slots in the state. Forty four percent are opposed.

The poll of 1,064 people was conducted by phone. It has a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
