HBO to shoot comedy in District

WASHINGTON – Hollywood is once again paying D.C. a visit. HBO has decided to shoot a new show here.

Ben Stiller is set to direct, produce and star in a comedy about a Jewish family living in the District.

Former MASH star Alan Alda is also in talks to join the cast.

The pay-cable giant has made a habit of highlighting the nation’s capital in recent projects.

The Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy “Veep,” about a former senator who becomes the vice president, will debut this spring.

Eddie Murphy has been linked to play former D.C. Mayor Marion Barry in a biopic directed by Spike Lee.
