Police: Man robbed by police impersonators

WASHINGTON — Police say two armed men impersonating police officers robbed a man on Saturday morning on Texas Avenue in southeast D.C.

The victim was pulled over while driving on the 4800 block and ordered to get out of his car when he was robbed, police say.

Both suspects were wearing vests with the word “police” written on them and were carrying handguns.

The victim was not injured.

The suspects are described as black men between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet.
