6 Loudoun Co. middle school students in trouble for drinking alcohol at school

WASHINGTON — Six middle school students in Loudoun County were caught after drinking alcohol before school on Thursday.

The Michael Lunsford Middle School students, ages 12 to 14, were caught after one of the students went to the nurse around 10 a.m. complaining they felt sick. The school’s resource officer was notified.

All six students were identified and found to be in varying states of intoxication, though none required immediate medical attention. Parents of all involved students were notified and asked to pick up their children.

The matter remains under investigation.
