D.C. taps restaurants for government center

The D.C. government has tapped two restaurants to occupy space in the Minnesota-Benning Government Center, in a move that could foretell how restaurants are encouraged in the neighborhood around St. Elizabeths Hospital, The Washington Post reported.

The restaurants that will open at the home of the Department of Employment Services are Eclectic Café, a new restaurant concept from the former owners of East River Bagel on Minnesota Avenue, and Cohn’s Hospitality and Management Academy, a café and job training program founded by restaurateur Paul J. Cohn. Cohn’s company Capital Restaurant Concepts operates J. Paul’s and Georgia Brown’s.
