WASHINGTON – If you are working 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., you may soon be the exception.

Younger workers — those known as Millenials or Generation Y — are changing the face of the workplace, and the traditional workday is going out the window.

The change to the workday is one of the Euro RSCG Worldwide’s top trends for next year.

With new technology and global workplace dynamics changing, companies are implementing flexible work arrangements for all generations, Time Magazine reports.

Gen Y workers say they want flexibility over more money. They also always want to be connected through social media.
