Woman beaten in her Capitol Heights home

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. – A 70-year-old woman has been hospitalized after being beaten in her Capitol Heights home Friday morning.

Prince George’s County Police say somebody broke into her home of the 500 block of Drum Avenue sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. and then beat her.

She called police when she woke up this morning, but does not remember the incident.

The woman is listed in critical condition at an area hospital.

Police, who are still investigating, say there is no indication anything was taken from her home.
