FedEx apologizes for tossed monitor

UNDATED — Imagine ordering a computer monitor and having the FedEx driver toss it over your wrought iron fence and break it.

That’s how a California man received his monitor, and his video of the delivery went viral.

FedEx has now met with the customer and made a face-to-face apology. The company also replaced the monitor, according to Yahoo Finance.

The driver now faces disciplinary action, and FedEx calls it an “aberration.”

“I want you to know that I was upset, embarrassed, and very sorry for our customer’s poor experience,” says Matthew Thornton, a FedEx senior vice president, in a statement.

The video posted on YouTube just three days ago has been viewed 4.4 million times.

Here it is, if you haven’t seen it.
