BEIJING – A group of hackers in China breached the computers defenses of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and gained access to everything stored on its systems, including information about its three million members, according to several people familiar with the matter. Siobhan Gorman reported this in the Wall Street Journal.

RANGOON – Burma is reportedly trying to repair its relationship with China, while courting the U.S. Burmese military Commander-in-Chief General Min Aung Hlaing’s recent November visit appears to be the evidence of that. This comes following its unilateral suspension of the Chinese-funded Myitsone Dam project and conversations with the United States.

MOGADISHU – Radio Shabeelle in Somalia is reporting today that more than 10 people have been killed and 30 others were injured after Kenyan planes allegedly attacked Hoosingow town” in Lower Jubba Region. This is Al Shabaab territory.

WASHINGTON – U.S. government assets are looking at shutting down or diverting Al Shabaab’s Twitter account. Apparently they are using it to recruit members in the U.S. Unnamed U.S. sources reportedly told The New York Times.
