Georgetown student robbed at gunpoint in Glover Park

WASHINGTON – A Georgetown graduate student was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night in Glover Park, university public safety officials and D.C. police say.

University officials say the student was on 41st Street NW between Calvert and Davis streets at about 8:20 p.m. when two males — one with a handgun — got out of a black sedan. The vehicle drove off, and the suspect with the gun pushed the student to the ground and stole his laptop, books, cellphone and wallet.

The suspects then told the student to walk away and not look back, and they ran off in an unknown direction. The student reportedly called D.C. police — who have a report of the incident occurring at about 9:20 p.m. — after walking home, and later reported the incident to the Georgetown Department of Public Safety.

There were no reports of injuries, university officials say. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-687-4343.
