Police searching for Manassas flasher

WASHINGTON – Police in Manassas, Va. are looking for a man in connection with two separate instances of indecent exposure involving children.

In both cases, the suspect approached a child from behind and exposed himself, and in one instance asked the child a series of inappropriate questions. The two incidents occurred on Dec. 5 and Dec. 11 between 10:30 a.m. and noon in the 11200 block of Soldiers Ridge Circle in Manassas.

The Prince William County Police Department is searching for a roughly 5-foot-8-inch Hispanic man in his 20s with brown hair, brown eyes and a “chinstrap” beard.

In the first instance, a 6-year-old boy said the suspect approached him and asked a series of sexual questions, then followed him home. The suspect never touched the child or attempted to enter his home, police say.

The second instance involved a 12-year-old boy who said the suspect approached him and exposed himself.

Anyone with information on the incidents can contact Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered.
