Prince George’s County officials plan to build a 25,000-seat stadium in Bowie at the Green Branch Sports Complex, according to the Washington Examiner.

The stadium would be the new home of Maryland’s Major League Lacrosse franchise, the Chesapeake Bayhawks. However, some elected officials hope to turn it into a national destination for matches and tournaments as well. This could include D.C. United, according to one official, yet they have not have much luck reaching out to the soccer team.
