WASHINGTON — A man is dead after being shot by Prince George’s County police.

Officers were originally called to the home of a man threatening to kill himself, a police spokesperson tells WTOP, in the 2100 block of Aqasco Road.

Officers shot and wounded the man during an altercation outside.

He was taken to an area hospital where doctors said initially he was in critical condition.
