First reported robbery in a year on U.Md. campus Thurs.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – A University of Maryland student was robbed Thursday night, the first robbery reported to university police in a year.

Two males pulled a knife on a student and demanded property while the student was walking in the Lot Y area past Cecil Hall late Thursday. The student was not injured in the altercation.

Police have released descriptions of the two assailants.

One is described as a black male, 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing black ski pants, a black top, dreadlocks and a face mask.

The other suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall with a small to medium build. He was wearing dark clothing and a face mask.
