WASHINGTON – One of the most anticipated movies of 2012 debuted Monday.
Lionsgate Entertainment has released a trailer for “Hunger Games,” the movie set to Suzanne Collins’ three-part book series that is set in a futuristic dystopia where governments force teenagers to participate in a victory-or-death contest.
Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone, X-Men: First Class) leads the flick as Katniss Everdeen, with appearances from Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland and Lenny Kravitz.
The trailer will be shown before “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” which opens this weekend. “Hunger Games” opens March 23.
