The 2011 Red Kettle Campaign was kicked off outside the Salvation Army of the of National Capital Area Command with DC Mayor Vincent Gray donating the ceremonial first $1 bill. There are now more than 250 kettles in the area to help the Salvation Army bring a Merry Christmas to nearly 14,000 children in need in our area.
