FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another attempted abduction.
The latest attempted abduction happened around 4:20 p.m. Saturday near Satterfield Court in Fredericksburg, Va.
The sheriff’s office says an 8-year-old girl was approached by a Hispanic male who attempted to get her in his van. The van is described as a black Econoline van, possibly spray-painted with the word “Mallory” on the side.
The child fled from the van on foot, and was not hurt.
The Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star reports this incident happened within five miles of three other attempted abductions. All of the incidents involved girls between the ages of 9 and 20.
The sheriff’s office has not said if they believe the incidents are connected.
Another attempted abduction was also reported nearby in Stafford County.
